Zhang Jin, Director of the Department of Medical Information Engineering, College of Biomedical Engineering, Sichuan University and Chief Scientist of West China Robotics Research Institute, shared achievements on Artificial Intelligence Empowering Chinese-style Health Management and the TCM + AI diagnostic system (AI TCM tongue diagnosis). Combining tongue image segmentation, feature extraction and PPG signal analysis, the system can realize constitution identification, health assessment and blood pressure prediction, forming a closed-loop full-process health management model. It retains TCM’s strengths of simplicity, accessibility, effectiveness and affordability while improving the scientificity and convenience of diagnosis.
