Remember history, honor martyrs, cherish peace and forge ahead into the future. On September 3, the grand ceremony commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People""s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War was held at Tian’anmen Square in Beijing. FNY organized all employees to watch the live broadcast of the ceremony and military parade in the meeting room, witnessing this solemn and stirring historic moment together.

During the commemoration, the majestic national anthem echoed across Tian’anmen Square as the Five-star Red Flag rose slowly, with all attendees standing in solemn salute. Neat formations marched past Tian’anmen Square to receive the review by the Party and the people, scene after scene stirring the hearts of all viewers.

The parade consisted of 45 formations and echelons, passing Tian’anmen Square in sequence: the air flag guard echelon, foot formations, battle flag formation, equipment formations and air echelons. All showcased weaponry was selected from domestically produced active-duty main battle equipment. Many new models made their debut, featuring high levels of informatization and intelligence, fully demonstrating the advanced standards and formidable strength of China’s defense science, technology and industry. The well-drilled foot formations, imposing equipment formations and air echelons soaring across the sky displayed the brand-new demeanor of the People’s Liberation Army in the new era and its unwavering resolve to safeguard peace.

The Chinese People""s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression constituted an important part of the World Anti-Fascist War. After 14 years of arduous combat, Chinese people defeated Japanese invaders at a heavy cost of 35 million casualties, making tremendous contributions to the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War. The live broadcast enabled all employees to gain a deeper understanding: the peaceful life we enjoy today was bought with the lives of countless martyrs; peaceful development across the world requires joint protection by people of all nations including China.

Following the parade viewing, the company held a rewarding quiz contest themed on the history of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. Fifteen questions focusing on major battles and heroic figures were prepared. Employees raised their hands to compete enthusiastically, creating a lively and intense atmosphere. Through the quiz, participants revisited the wartime history, gained a deeper understanding of the hardships endured during the war years, and further ignited their patriotism.

At the closing of the event, Li Nan, President of FNY, emphasized that peace is hard-won and must be cherished deeply. The magnificent victory 80 years ago teaches us that only through constant self-improvement can we take control of our own destiny.
